Why Heart's Delight?
Before Santa Clara Valley became the tech hub of "Silicon Valley", it was better known in the early 20th century as "The Valley of Heart's Delight" due to the abundant farmland and climate that grew hundreds of orchards. The most popular crops at the time were apricots, prunes, plums, and cherries–many of which still grow in our very own backyards.
This idea of home-grown abundance is not only true of crops, but to roller derby as well. Our local skaters are strong, diverse, and resilient, and we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can grow to their fullest potential in the sport.
